Dominik:

Hello and welcome to The CalmWithDom Podcast, where we harness our highly sensitive nature to overcome our energy leaks and strengthen our relationships with ourselves and others. I am your spiritual, emotional intelligence coach, Dominik, and this is way post the recording of this podcast. I am stuffy and congested. If you can't hear, I know the audio isn't the best. This post-editing me this podcast, just to let you know that, yeah, this podcast episode I didn't realize was going to be the podcast. You kind of see my decision to make this podcast episode that - something that I'm going to actually upload and, yeah, it's definitely more of a personal update as well as a conversation about a couple of important things that I find very prevalent in my. That was very prevalent in my life at the time and so, yeah, just thought you guys should know that, I guess for a warning as you enter into this video, and I do want to acknowledge some things the fact that we are officially in season two of the Combat Dome Podcast, we are officially on YouTube and have video like that's just going to be a thing from now on and navigating. That has been interesting and this is not me sharing as an explanation, so much as it is an invitation to get vulnerable with me, get real with me. My cat is very curious and very into my plans right now as I record this, so I think I mentioned this already just stuffy, congested, getting over a cold. I hope you're doing well. I am excited to share this and, yeah, in future episodes I'll be having some guests. Episodes will be a little bit longer than this. This was just more again me authentically speaking my thoughts and getting comfortable with recording myself in general, and it's been a while since I recorded myself before this video. So, yeah, I am speaking low. I am not sure about the audio still working that out, and since this podcast episode I have figured it out. So enjoy this and see you guys soon. Bye, or enjoy. I had to open the window in my office because it's just way too hot and the fan is too loud to have on, so I have to stop. I was cooking in here for a little bit, so you may hear some children playing and screaming, because I live next to a public park.

Dominik:

The focus of this episode is on the fact that we are constantly faced with change, and that doesn't have to be a bad thing. It can actually be something that serves us, as long as we step into our responses intentionally and with integrity. And I guess to do that, you have to care about yourself. You have to prioritize your needs and I've spoken about this within that 3-day live shadow integration event earlier this year which, by the way, if you want access to those live calls, it's just $1.99 in the Khamath Dom Academy I decided to have it at a very, very, very low price point so that the entry point into the Khamath Dom Academy is as low as possible, so you have access to community, my lessons, away from social media, away from the noise of online, of the internet.

Dominik:

That being said, in those trainings I know in one of them I talk about how, when you are harnessing your sensitivity, as in learning about who you are as a highly sensitive woman and then integrating that knowledge so that you are leveraging your sensitivity in every area of your life you quickly realize that there is no hierarchy anymore In the way that I feel a lot of highly sensitive women tend to do before integrating their sensitivity into their lives. Right, because you're so flexible and adaptable and you can adapt to any environment and adapt to change. That's really something that you rarely struggle with. There's a reason why a lot of highly sensitive women tend to be people pleasers, and that is just because you know you're catering and tending to the needs of everyone, right? If you're a highly sensitive mother, I mean, your kids needs come before you. If you are a CEO or you're someone of authority, or maybe you're not, maybe you're just an employee or a contracted worker at work, in your work environment, there is this sense of well, by default, we want to do what's best for our environment, and that looks like catering to the needs of other people, and Once you start harnessing your sensitivity properly, you realize that there is no them first and then me, or me first and then them, because when you tend to your needs, you are simultaneously tending to the needs of other people. When you serve yourself, you serve others by default, and that is something that no one teaches us.

Dominik:

Hey, it's me interrupting the episode that you're listening to to let you know about the new live program that I'm launching this September 4th 2023. If you're ready to harness your sensitivity, to strengthen your relationships by getting to the root of your energy leaks, then I want to personally invite you to the six week Roadmap to Self-Grounding live program where I'll guide you through two 60 minute live group calls every week with unlimited access to all of the materials in the roadmap to self grounding course. Every Monday through Friday you'll have access to our group messaging support where we can help you navigate any challenges that come up in your daily life. In this program, I'm going to be teaching you how to properly protect your energy against energy vampires. I'm going to teach you how to integrate your shadows and learn how to better take advantage of your moments of over stimulation so that your sensitivity is actually serving you. You'll get clarity around why certain energy leaks show up for you and your specific needs within your relationships right. You'll become a pro at handling over stimulation as it comes up and how your sensitivity can be of assistance to you in times of distress. And, most importantly, of course, after this program, you'll take your relationship with your highly sensitive nature further than simply understanding that you're a highly sensitive person and accepting the fact. You're going to instead be able to handle over stimulation when it comes up, while remaining grounded and centered and fully embodying your sensitivity, so that you're living a life that's amplified, where that centeredness, where you harnessing your sensitivity, strengthens the bonds that you have currently. It sets the foundation for the relationships that you want to have and, most importantly, strengthen the relationship you have with yourself, which is the most important relationship. Of course, the live program is six weeks and there are payment plans available. So if you are interested, definitely send me a DM on Instagram, email me at dominiccom with domcom, so we can get started. I cannot wait to be live with you, showing up every week with other highly sensitive women who are looking for community during this period of self healing. Again, dm me if you're interested. I'll see you September 4th.

Dominik:

Okay, back to the episode. No one teaches us and so we kind of like operate in this for a second third and then we're kind of like what society sets us up for. That's definitely what capitalism sets us up for. That way of thinking in school or education system, it's always like what's the most pressing thing to do, or what's the most important, or who has more value, or what has more value than the others, and it's like this. You know, it's a list, it's a ranking system, it's a hierarchy, and that is not how the world actually works and that's not how energy works.

Dominik:

Right, any and all change affects the world. When you tend to your needs as a highly sensitive person, especially in relations to other people, you serve others by default and if you are taking from others, if you feel that you're in a position where you're taking from others, that's not yeah, maybe your needs and the needs of others can be in conflict and that's okay, and that's something that can be navigated and dealt with or not, and it just is what it is. But maybe and maybe the relationship itself transforms and changes to adapt to the needs of the both of you, but ultimately your needs as a highly sensitive person, what your SPS allows for and creates within you. It rarely puts you in a position to take from other people and once we understand that and we accept that, harnessing our sensitivity becomes really, really seamless, all of a sudden, adapting to change and benefiting from change, even if it's unfavorable to you, gets easier, and that's something that I've noticed with just my relationship with grief.

Dominik:

Grief hurts, but it doesn't hurt the way that it used to before. It's coming from a completely different place. Grief truly feels like love and I know a lot of people say that about grief, that grief is just another form of love or the experience of I've heard the quote love having nowhere to go, and I don't really experience it like that. That love is kind of just fuel for me. Whether I lose a dear friend, which I have, whether I lose a loved one, a family member, a partner that I adore, these are all personal experiences. Now I can check every box and that love in every loss has felt like medicine in a way that it never has before. It never related to loss in this way before.

Dominik:

And loss is change. Change is a guarantee. Change is stimulating when change stops being painful and starts feeling like an opportunity, whether that's to create something new, whether that's to start over, whether that's to dive head first deeper into love, into gratitude, reminiscent of what was and honoring what was lost in a way that doesn't feel like you're losing a limb or doesn't feel like you're losing a part of yourself Is only possible because of my sensitivity. Experiencing loss in this way is only possible because I'm a highly sensitive woman and my sensitivity is harnessed in a way that it is constantly serving me. I let it serve me, I let it benefit me and amplify my life, and that's something that I say a lot with my clients. I love bonding with other highly sensitive women, just to talk about how we literally operate in this world and experience the world in an amplified manner. It's just amplified. Emotions are amplified, experiences are amplified. The smallest things give us so much joy and that's a beautiful thing.

Dominik:

Yeah, maybe this is going to be the podcast. Maybe these last like 10-11 minutes with me rambling is going to be the episode, instead of the first 30 minutes that I recorded about how change actually serves us and it's not the scary monster to highly sensitive people and how our relationships are a great and reliable measurement of how we relate to change. Or maybe I'll, like you know, whip out my editing skills and make this very concise so that you get all of that juiciness in one episode. We'll see how it goes. I'll probably cut it. I'm not the best at editing. I'm developing my editing skills as I record more videos, but anyway, I'll end that here.

Dominik:

Thank you for listening to the Comodon podcast. If anything that I said resonated or helped you, benefited you in any way, I would love. I would love to hear, I'd love to hear that. I think that'd make my day. I know that'd make my day. If you are listening to the audio version of this, definitely rate and leave a review of the podcast letting me know your thoughts.
